U17 Women 0 Bosnia & Herzegovina 0

The game started with an early opportunity for Northern Ireland’s Orr but her effort on target was saved by Bosnia and Herzegovina goalkeeper Mikić in the 5th minute.

Both teams conceded early free-kicks in dangerous areas putting pressure on both defences and on 27 minutes a reckless tackle by Bassett (Northern Ireland) resulted in the first yellow card of the game.

Despite a flurry of corners in the latter stages of the half it remained goalless after the opening 45minutes.

Bosnia and Herzegovina started the second half strongly - Kuljanin playing a great through ball to Gačanica on 49 minutes but she failed to hit the target.

As both teams continued to try outplay each other chances were scarce.

With the majority of play happening in midfield there were plenty of fouls committed by both teams but it was Bosnia and Harzegovina players Crnoja and Rovčanin who were booked by the referee.

Northern Ireland tried to mix things up by bringing on Kearney for Rubby, and Beggs for Basset, but failed to steal three points as the match finished 0-0.

Northern Ireland remain 2nd in group 5 after securing 4 points from their first two games. Their next fixture is against group leaders Italy on 3rd October 2015.
