Release Date: 21/02/2012
NORTHERN Ireland travel to Scotland this week for their opening Centenary Shield game at Toryglen Arena. The game will be played on Friday, kick-off: 6pm.
Manager Bob Ramsey has made three changes to the squad that toured the Channel Islands and played Australia with Simon Hanna, Andrew Mitchell and Connor Harkin coming into the 18. This will be the first game in the defence of the Centenary Shield which was shared last year with Scotland.
Manager Bob Ramsey said: “I am looking forward to starting the campaign in Scotland; preparation so far has been good. Games against Australia and then the trip to Guernsey and Jersey have allowed us to get to know our squad a bit better now. Hopefully it will all come together on Friday night and we can start as we mean to go on.”
Northern Ireland has two home games in the Centenary Shield with England and Wales travelling across to play our schoolboys. The England game is being played at Windsor Park on 23 March and Wales 20 April (live on Sky Sports).
