Training Compensation and Solidarity Mechanism

The Irish Football Association is committed to the implementation of the FIFA Regulations Governing the Status and Transfer of Players which includes the Training & Development Compensation and Solidarity Mechanisms on an International basis.

Domestically the Irish Football Association have also implemented a national Training and Development Compensation procedure.

The aim of both these mechanisms is to properly and adequately recognise and compensate clubs who have effectively trained and developed young players who have since turned professional.

The attached guidelines detail the procedures relating to eligibility to lodge a claim and the processes for doing so.
