THE last two IFA Nutty Krust Summer Soccer Schools organised by Irish FA Grassroots Development Officer Keith Gibson took place at two new venues.
The first was held at Tandragee Primary School and the second at Loughgall Country Park with both proving popular venues for young players to come along and enhance their skills.
Over 80 boys and girls came along to enjoy a week of fun, matches and skills sessions led by Irish FA coaches. The only downside was the wasps who didn't seem to like footballers very much!!
Chris Wright, Irish FA Primary Schools coach, headed up the Tandragee camp; speaking about the week he said: "To follow on from the school year when we had been coaching in Tandragee Primary School we decided to run a summer camp for the pupils and any others who wished to come along.
“Many thanks to school principal, David McCollum, who gave the idea his backing and was very supportive both beforehand and throughout the week. The week was a great success and we hope to build on that again next year."
Alex Clifford, UEFA B licence coach, headed up the Loughgall camp. He stated: "It was great to see so many coming along to this new venue for a Nutty Krust Summer Soccer School. A big thanks goes to Loughgall Juniors who helped promote the camp and got so many of their players along."
