On Thursday the 17th of Febuary the Irish Football Association in conjunction with the (Belfast) Primary Schools coaches held a multi-skills event in Queens PEC.
Three schools from across the city were represented at the event: Forge Integrated P.S., Springhill P.S., and also Orange Field P.S.
The event involved children within Primary Four and there were over sixty children in attendance.
The children involved experienced various activities that incorporated a range of skills such as balance, co-ordination, agility, ball manipulation, dribbling, throwing and catching. The children also participated in small sided games.
The event was a great success, and the feedback from the children, teachers and Principals was extremley positive.
A big thank you must go to the three Belfast coaches; in particular Ciaran Donaghy, Conal McNally and John O'Kane. Thanks must also go to Kris Lindsay, Ben Harvey and Elaine Roden for assisting on the day.
A special thanks must also go to Queens PEC for hosting the Event and to Tescos for supplying drinks and snacks on the day.
