VISUAL IMPAIRMENT FOOTBALL

VISUAL Impairment Football runs from September to June each year at Lisburn Leisureplex on Saturday mornings.

Any person with a Visual Impairment is most welcome to come along. The Junior section runs from 10.00am–11.00am (7–14 years); and the Senior section from 11.00am– 12.00pm (15 years and over).  The cost per session is £2.  The club is jointly run by the Irish Football Association in conjunction with RNIB (Royal National Institute of Blind people).

If you are interested or need further information contact either Mal Donaghy, Irish FA Development Officer Disability Football (07894614325 or mdonaghy@irishfa.com) or Niall Dempsey (RNIB 075 0668 9795).

Last season was extremely successful for the club. The juniors competed in an Irish FA organised tournament at Stormont with both teams reaching their respective finals. The senior squad joined the UK wide partially sighted Futsal League in England claiming the Division Two title at the first attempt and reaching the Futsal Cup semi-final.

New players, with a Visual Impairment are very welcome to come and join the club at Lisburn Leisureplex.
