National Games

Coca-Cola Special Schools FA Cup

OVER 150 pupils from Special Schools throughout Northern Ireland travelled to the Valley Leisure Centre in Newtownabbey to compete in the 2011 Coca-Cola Special Schools FA Cup.

Run by the Irish Football Association, the Coca-Cola Special Schools FA Cup is an annual indoor 5-a-side competition tournament for schools catering for pupils with Learning Disability. The competition is divided into two sections – with an Under 15 and an Over 15 tournament.

 

With 20 teams competing on four pitches the action was non-stop with plenty of skills and goals on display.

Results

Under 15: 3rd/4th place play-off: Clifton (Bangor) 5–2 Sandleford (Coleraine)

Final – Ceara (Lurgan) 3–1 Roddensvale (Larne)

Over 15: 3rd/4th place play-off: Glenveagh (Belfast) 3–1 Loughan (Ballymena)

Final – Sandleford (Coleraine) 3–2 Knockevin (Lisburn)
