AWARDS FOR ALL INVEST IN SIX OF THE BEST
THE Irish FA, with the support of a Lottery Grant through Awards for All, has set up six county based football clubs for those with a learning and/or physical disability.
Each club has junior sections for 7-14 year olds and senior sections for those aged 15 and over. These clubs are for players with a learning, physical or sensory impairment are delivered by IFA qualified coaches and are a great opportunity to have fun, make friends and play the beautiful game. Clubs
If you wish to get involved in Disability Football at local level please click here to download a word document with details of the various clubs. Some clubs may only cater for Learning Disability or are for registered clients of a Health Trust only so if you are having difficulty getting involved please contact Alan Crooks, The Development Manager for Disability Football at the IFA on 028 90 669559.
Football Leagues:
The IFA runs 3 Regional Disability Football Leagues in partnership with Special Olympics Ulster. The leagues are 5-a-side and cater for all abilities as there are different ability bands in each Region.
The leagues are open to Disability Football Clubs, Adult Centres, Disability Organisations or Disability Groups that cater for learning and/or physical disability.
