UEFA 'A' Licence - Part 1

FEE for Part 1

For Candidates outside Northern Ireland: Residential £1,600 (Extra cost includes final assessment in your country).

For residents of Northern Ireland: Residential; £1,300 / Non-Residential £1,000

COURSE ENTRANCE REQUIREMENTS: UEFA 'B' Licence

COURSE OUTLINE

The UEFA 'A' Licence is an advanced Coaching Award and is divided into two annual parts.

Part 1 will include practical and theoretical aspects.

Candidates will be assessed during this Residential Week and the assessments will take the form of -

* Practical Coaching - 2 assessments during the week, one of which will be a

                                 'Functional Practice to Phase of Play' and the other                                         will be a 9v9 game'.

* Theory            - a written examination.

Candidates will then be assessed at their clubs during the subsequent months.  This assessment must be organised at the candidate's club.

In order to progress to Part 2 for completion of the UEFA 'A' Licence, the candidate must attain a pass in the written theory examination and pass three practical coaching assessments, one of which MUST be the 11v11 session.

The focus of this course is on preparing players and teams for professional and semi-profession League or top amateur Leagues.

PART 2

DATE: June 2009 (5 Days)

VENUE: Stranmillis University College, Belfast

COURSE ENTRANCE REQUIREMENTS: Successful completion of the UEFA 'A' Licence (Part 1).

COURE OUTLINE

Part 2 consists of a Residential Week during which there are theoretical and practical session.  Topics covered include fitness and conditioning; planning; media; motivation; sport psychology; game analysis, etc.  Top European National and Club coaches will conduct both practical and discussion sessions.
