Sharing Information

Good communication makes for good practice.  If your club/centre puts in place good systems and provides opportunities for sharing information with children/young people, parents/guardians, staff, coaches and volunteers, everyone will feel that their input is valued and that their ideas and concerns will be listened to. An ethos of partnership between everyone will engender mutual trust.

It is important that general written information on policy and procedures is circulated to everyone connected with your club/centre in a way that is understandable to all, for instance through an induction/information session or by sending out information leaflets or newssheets.

The Irish FA Child/ Player Welfare Department  would recommend that all clubs organising activities for Children/Young People, use attendance registers as a measure of good governance.
