‘Thinkuknow’
CEOP’s Thinkuknow programme uses innovative and contemporary materials to help children and young people, and their parents/guardians, make the right choices when using the internet. The materials include films, leaflets and posters, which provide vital advice and guidance on a range of issues children and young people may encounter.
The Irish FA is proud to have some of CEOP’s Thinkuknow educational material included in its own ‘Safeguarding Children and Young People in Football’ child protection awareness course.
The Thinkuknow education programme has a contemporary website, which gives simple clear advice and guidance for children and young people and their parents/guardians– why not encourage your players or children to have a look for themselves? Simply click on the Thinkuknow logo below to check it out . The messages work because they have been developed with children and the information is developed specifically for:
• 5 – 7 years
• 8 – 10 years
• 11 - 16 years
Providing information for children and young people is only part of the picture though – getting messages out to parents/guadians and those who work directly with children and young people in football is important too. For more information click on the related links below.
