Coca Cola Elite Residential
As part of the Flybe George Best Excellence Programme, 144 boys from the current u12,u13 and u14 programme were selected to attend this residential at the University of Ulster campus in Coleraine.
This is the first time an Elite residential course of this nature has been run for the most talented of our young players from across all six County Centres. In addition to technical and tactical work on the pitch, the talented young players were put through various fitness tests by Conditioning Coaches from the Ulster University Performance Department based at Jordanstown. The conditioning element is a vital component of the IFA's Flybe Excellence Programme as our players need to be strong and fast as well as technically good in order to be successful in the modern game. Players also attended lectures on lifestyle and tactical developments in the modern game.
