The Irish Football Association recognises the need to build pride in football in Northern Ireland through the provision of better training and playing facilities.
Facility requirements, spectator comfort and safety at matches are critical, and to this end the IFA is working with government, local councils, Sport NI, PSNI, UEFA, FIFA and health and safety officials to seek to attract more meaningful events and to encourage new supporters and families to attend matches.
The approach taken by the IFA on facility matters is a top down approach which includes the national stadium, national training centre and the appropriate requirements for UEFA, IFAP and PIL club competition.
